1. Identify Faulty Asset
Retrieve the specific Asset entry from the Asset Data Model that requires maintenance.
2. Create Maintenance Request
Generate a new Maintenance Request entry linked to the identified Asset and the reporter.
3. Update Asset Status
Update the status of the Asset entry to 'Under Repair' or 'Out of Service'.
4. Assign Technician
Create a task for a Maintenance Technician to inspect the reported fault.
5. Fetch Spare Parts Inventory
Retrieve available parts from the Inventory Data Model to check for availability.
6. Calculate Estimated Repair Cost
Calculate the total cost by summing labor rates and parts costs (labor_cost + parts_cost).
7. Update Request with Cost Estimate
Update the Maintenance Request entry with the calculated estimated cost.
8. Perform Repair Work
Create a task for the technician to execute the repair according to the maintenance plan.
9. Quality Inspection
Create a task for a Supervisor to verify that the repair meets safety standards.
10. Calculate Total Downtime
Aggregate the duration of all maintenance entries for this asset to calculate total downtime.
11. Close Maintenance Request
Update the Maintenance Request entry status to 'Completed'.
12. Restore Asset Status
Update the Asset entry status back to 'Operational'.
13. Notify Stakeholders
Send an email to the Operations Manager notifying them that the asset is back in service.
14. Generate Maintenance Summary Report
Create a report summarizing the costs and time spent on this specific maintenance event.
15. Remove Draft Request
Delete the initial draft entry if the maintenance request was created in error.
